No news is...not entirely good news
Feb. 22nd, 2012 05:06 pmWell, my laptop died, over a week ago or so. Hard drive's screwed, I think it was a virus. The problem is that my newest backups date from late January or so. And...during early February, right after the end of exams and before the start of classes, I had gone in a downloading spree (Downloads folder went from having around 14000 files to over 21000), and had played a whole rotation at Randomville (sure, the plot pictures for the story were not lost, as I was going to shoot those in the dummy hood, but I lost my heir's great start at fulfilling the 20 lovers LTW. And had created a few custom townies.)
So, I'm pretty mad about the whole thing still. I don't know when will I have the laptop fixed, I don't know if I can save the files I don't have on the backup disk, and to top it all, the laptop I am using now is TINY (that means no CDs), incredibly slow, has terribly sound quality (ruining all my chances of listening to music/watching series episodes and managing to enjoy it), and only has StarOffice (so no possible attempts at getting a new chapter out in Slideshare). Lovely.
