Another Bodyshop & Sim Genetics entry - for Jo

After Jo asked about Opal's looks (Opal being the daughter of her sim Peach in my legacy 'hood), I decided to go and do Yet Another BodyShop Experiment (TM). I also included the children of Jo's other sim Bernardo (also living in my legacy 'hood) in this, as well as Opal's alien half-brothers.


So, we have couple #1 (Bernardo & Naomi):




Their oldest daughter, Marisa, as an adult - I still think she was the one who took more after her mother. And I was wrong before, she did get Naomi's nose, not Bernardo's.


And their middle child, Giovanna, definitely looks very much like her father, even more after being aged up.


Oriana, their youngest, seemed to look a lot like Giovanna in game (in which she's still a toddler), but as an adult, I can see she looks more like Naomi than her sister (she also got Naomi's nose, though it didn't seem like it before). Still favours Bernardo more, though.



Then we have couple #2 (Martin & Peach - Peach's glasses were removed for this):




Here is their daughter Opal aged up to adult (her glasses were removed as well for these pics). She seems to have inherited most of Martin's features, but with Peach's colouring. Though it seems she grows up to look a bit more like her mother than I'd have thought from her toddler and child stages.


And just as an extra, Opal's half-brothers Orestes & Orion (Martin's alien twins) as adults. They look very much alike, both look almost exactly like their alien father, but with Martin's nose.

Thanks Jo, this was great to see. Opal got hit with the ugly stick, she reminds me very much of some sims I have had from the Ottomas family.

Awww, poor girl, I don't think she turned out that bad. (Though that might be just me thinking that Helled and her descendants' characteristic features look better than the Ottomas family's ones?) ;)
That gives me an idea for a future "comparing sims' features in BodyShop thread", actually...Helled and her children and grandchildren, and maybe Helled's brother Howl and his too. The features Opal got from Martin are from that side of the family, I'm very familiar with that strong chin/sunken cheeks/tiny mouth combo by now. Though the eye shape is from Ashley's simself (passed down to Kennard, and then to Lawrence and Martin), and the nose has been around for so many generations I don't even remember who introduced it to the gene pool anymore (but it's from the main line side, and it has been around at least since generation J).
What did you think of the Mobacy girls' looks as adults?

I seem to cope better with the large crooked noses than the sunken cheeks, lol I guess it's whatever you get used to seeing.

Oops, sorry Jo, I guess I didn't phrase that well. I meant "Mobacy girls" as in Bernardo and Naomi's daughters, not your Rosalba and Ariana (who are both adorable, by the way). :)

And yes, after you've been looking at a certain sim feature you found ugly (or at least a bit odd) for several generations in a row, you definitely get used to it. I bet people doing genetic legacies get that feeling a lot...
