A White Legacy - Chapter 3.2
Jul. 13th, 2009 01:00 pmLast chapter, we said goodbye to Alba's baby daddy Xander Clavell, and towards the end of the chapter to Alba herself, who lived to be 90. The twins' teen years were mostly uneventful, Branwen completely accepting the fact that her sister was now the heiress and she had to move out as soon as they became young adults.
Some weird things did happen when a teenage Blanche went to visit her Goth relatives, though. Her half-sister Luciana and a mystery woman named Morgana Wolff proved to be creepy individuals, making weird comments about Blanche and Branwen. So Blanche ran away from the house, very freaked out. Later, Luciana apologized and started acting normal again. But Gauri and Blanche were sure that something was still up with them.
And at the very end of the chapter, the twins entered young adulthood. Branwen moved out, and it's now time for Blanche to continue the legacy...
I sent Blanche to the park to look for a possible baby daddy. And guess who was also there...
...that's right. It was Luciana. I started to worry, because she practically stalks the White family. After that day Branwen brought her from school, she started passing by their house almost every single day. This is definitely suspicious...hmm...
Blanche tried to ignore Luciana the best she could, though, and soon met a guy who had an adorable face, at least in my opinion. I thought he was perfect to be the next baby daddy, and so did Blanche. His name was Nídio Moreira...but there was only one small problem. He was married to a woman named Fátima.
So, every time Blanche tried to flirt with him, he though she was only being friendly. At this point, I was close to hitting my head on the desk. Why wouldn't Nídio cooperate?
Blanche even worked up the courage to ask him to leave his wife for her. But he wouldn't hear none of it, and said that if he had to choose between Fátima and Blanche, he'd choose Fátima. Poor Blanche. :(
After a long while, he finally agreed to let Blanche kiss him.
But he refused to woohoo.
"No way, Blanche, I'm not going to cheat on my wife with you!"
"But..."
"Just forget about it."
He agreed to cuddle with her, though, as long as there was no woohoo. Stupid Nídio...have you looked at his face? Their kids would be adorable! I need those genes in my legacy.
Finally, there came the day when Nídio agreed to woohoo with Blanche. And, luckily, a lullaby was heard.
"I'm so happy, after all Nídio does love me."
He still has a wife. I hope she doesn't find out about your affair, or you'll get into trouble, Blanche.
"Relax! She will never find out."
So I hope...
"Oh, Nídio, I love you so much! Why can't you leave your wife for me?"
"It's complicated, Blanche. Fátima and I have been married a long time, I have three kids with her...I think I still love her. Besides, I'd never be able to marry you, since you're in a legacy. And I'd hate to be single. Do you understand?"
"...I guess so..."
"Great, then."
"Mom, guess what? Branwen got promoted! Many times, actually! She is now richer than us...and wait for it...she's my boss!"
"Wow, that sure was an unexpected turn of events."
"Yeah, it's so funny that my twin sister is also my boss...she has given me a raise and everything!"
That morning....
"I feel so sick...could it be? Could I really be pregnant?"
Most likely.
"That's so great...I've always wanted to be a mother, you know."
Blanche even got off work earlier that day because she popped. Which annoyed me to no end, because we needed that money.
"I wonder if he or she will be Artistic just like me. That'd be pleasant. We'd visit the art gallery as a family...and maybe Nídio could come too..."
I wouldn't count too much on it, Blanche.
"Mom, I'm pregnant! You're finally going to be a grandmother!"
"I'm going to be a grandmother for the second time, actually. Haven't you heard? Branwen has a son now! She named him Josué."
"Really? I didn't know that! So I'm an aunt now? Who's the father of her baby?"
"Nobody knows. I tried to ask her, but she refused to answer. I guess he was adopted, just like your half-sister Luciana."
"Oh, that would make sense."
"And, Blanche?"
"What, Mom?"
"I'm very proud of you. You're doing a great job as the heiress. Never forget that."
"...I won't."
The next day, Blanche invited Nídio over. He had to know about the pregnancy.
"Nídio...as you can very well notice, I'm pregnant with your child. I hope...you won't hate me for this, but I'm a legacy heiress. I needed to continue that legacy somehow."
"Of course I'm not mad at you, Blanche! I'm going to have another child, this is wonderful!"
"Aww, I'm so glad you're happy."
Uh...I wouldn't be so sure about that, Blanche...
"Oh my God, what have I done? If my wife finds out about this, she'll kill me!"
Fortunately, Blanche didn't even notice this.
"Time to make my precious baby be a girl! I need a heiress, after all."
But don't forget the rules I made up for this legacy, Blanche. First pregnancy, you get to influence the gender. Second pregnancy, you don't. So you might have to get pregnant more than twice if you want more than a girl.
"I don't mind! I will love being a mom! The more children, the merrier!"
That's great to hear.
Later that day...
"Holy crap, this hurts! MOM! The baby's coming, I have to go to the hospital!"
Great labour face, Blanche, but I still think Gauri's was the best yet.
And so Blanche rushed to the hospital to give birth. A while later, Nídio appeared there, followed by a guy who looked a lot like him. At first, I thought he was his brother, but I would later find out he was his eldest son. I just hope there won't be any problems because of this!
Blanche, of course, had a girl. I named her Gwenllian, which is a name that I took from behindthename.com. Technically, it doesn't have a "white" meaning, but "gwen" can mean "white", "fair" or "blessed", so it still counts. It was also a Welsh royal name, according to behindthename.
Just like Alba and Xander after Gauri was born, Nídio and Blanche didn't waste any time and conceived a second baby as soon as Blanche brought Gwenllian home. I'm just hoping it will be a girl!
"I might not be here for you all the time, little Gwenllian, but I want you to know that I love you, illegitimate or not. I promise I'll come over as often as I can to see you. After all, you're my only daughter."
Aww, how sweet, Nídio actually cares about Gwenllian. And he is right. All of his three children with his wife Fátima are boys.
Her father and mother might love her, but I'm not so sure about her grandma Gauri...
"Muhahahaha, stealing candy from babies is so much fun! I had missed this!"
Poor Gwen. But hopefully she won't be scarred for life after this, I mean, after all Blanche wasn't.
Besides, Blanche will more than make up for any damage caused by Gauri. She's a great mom to Gwenllian, and isn't she so adorable at doing it? I think so.
"So this was the reason I was getting so nauseous again! I'm going to have another baby! I can't wait, I'm really excited about it!"
It's finally time for Gauri to become an elder. So she blows out her candles, with a pregnant Blanche and ghost Alba in attendance.
She would make an adorable elder (like Alba) if she wasn't always looking so damn creepy!
"Can't let everyone forget that I'm still an Evil sim."
I'm sure no one forgot that, Gauri. After all, Nice sims do not steal candy from babies.
And Gwenllian has a birthday too...let's see how does she look like. I wonder if she has white hair...
She doesn't (she is blonde like her father), but she is absolutely adorable! See, I told you Blanche and Nídio would make cute kids together. Her favourite colour is aqua.
Blanche didn't want her daughter to feel neglected with the upcoming arrival of a younger sibling, so she decided she would spend as much time with her as humanly possible.
So she taught Gwen to talk...
...to use the potty...
...and to walk. Yes, Blanche was very proud of her daughter and of herself, because she had proved she was a good mother.
And finally, she went into labour.
Surprisingly, without having eaten any fruit during the pregnancy, she had another girl. (My game must really hate boys or something.) This second baby was named Muireann, a name meaning "fair sea", coming from "muir" ("sea") and "fionn" ("fair, white"). This name comes from Irish mythology.
Blanche loved her second daughter as much as she loved her first one, and was determined to be the best mother she could to both girls...when tragedy struck.
Let me explain what happened. Gwenllian and Muireann had birthdays on the same day. Gwen's went without a hitch, and she became a well-adjusted child. But there were some problems with Muireann's birthday. The first two cakes didn't work, and I had to sell them. The third cake...caught on fire. And as the fire spread in the small kitchen, Blanche caught on fire too. I tried to make Gauri save her, I really did. She did manage to put out the cake fire, but not Blanche's. And so...Blanche burned to death. Gauri and Gwenllian were devastated, and I...just didn't know what to do. It was a very sad moment. :'(
"The Grim Reaper? Does this mean that I'm...dead? It can't be! I can't leave my family alone, please let me go back to them!"
"I am afraid I cannot do that, Blanche White. Your time has come, even if it was at an early age. Your family will just have to cope, I guess."
"But this was all a stupid accident with Muireann's cake! Please..."
"Oh, it was no accident, Blanche White. I can assure you of that. And now...come with me."
Poor Gauri was left to help Muireann age by herself. The girl grew up into a very cute toddler with white hair, with the Insane and Excitable traits. Sadly, she would barely remember her mother, or miss her, as she was so young when Blanche died.
As for Gwenllian, she was more affected by Blanche's death that anyone could imagine. Only time would tell how would that play out.
(By the way, Gwen's traits are Friendly, Insane and Good Sense of Humor.)
And it's on this sad note that I shall leave you. :( R.I.P. Blanche White, gen 3 heiress.
Join me in the next chapter to see if Grim was right about Blanche's death not being accidental, and to see how will the family cope. Until then, goodbye and happy simming to all.
