Bernardo and Naomi's (Very Short) Courtship & Wedding

So, here it is. I skipped the first house in the rotation (main house) and played the Rodieks first. Nino became an adult on 1st day of the rotation, Naomi and Ned became adults on the 2nd day. Then Naomi moved out (and both the old house and her new one were played for 1 sim day).


Here is the girl herself. Naomi Rodiek, Family sim, LTW to become Captain Hero,and a Gemini with a personality of 3/10/10/2/10.

After I tweaked her turn-ons to match Berni (black hair + facial hair), Naomi got him as a date via the gypsy matchmaker at the very first try.

She likes what she sees very much, apparently. No wonder, they have 3 bolts together!

And Berni also finds her to be quite attractive. I love them together so far. :D

So, with them still in an empty lot (for now), the date goes on, with some flirting, talking, hugging...and more flirting... (And the gypsy matchmaker stood there staring creepily at them for a very long time.)

still, they didn't care one bit they were being watched. Naomi loved Berni, even when he looked possessed (gotta love that eye glitch).

Further relationship development went on...that being the first kiss for both of them (awww).


They fell in love at around 16:00...and that was when the date ended. Yes, for real. The date having started at around 8:00, mind you. They were on a date for EIGHT SIM HOURS. Too bad they only managed to have a Great date and not a Dream on. Still, that has to be some sort of record (for my sims at least).

After love, comes not marriage, but engagement. Also a very sweet moment.




Their "new" house, complete with all the stuff for their wedding already outside. The house is not entirely new as it is a Maxis one (I HATE building), but everything inside was changed and decorated by me.

Telescope and exercise machine on the other side of the house. Wonder if Berni will end up getting abducted by aliens, but I guess not, since this generation there have already been 2 alien abductions - which happened to 2 teenagers. :( At least one of them was a male.

One of the bathrooms. Not a very good picture, I know, but you get the idea - on the side you can't see there are a (Maxis) white toilet and a (Maxis) white bathtub. The 2nd floor bathroom is pretty much identical, the other 1st floor one has a shower instead of a bathtub.

The very tiny kitchen, that I almost forgot to redecorate.

Berni and Naomi's bedroom, in tones of red and dark brown/black, as red is pretty much their colour. It suits both of them well, I think.

The CC-filled nursery, which is so cutesy compared to my previous ones, that it will likely cause diabetes to their kids before they can even talk. And that's it for the house tour. :)


The wedding itself was also very lovely, a true Family sim wedding, as there were proper wedding outfits, quite a few guests, and a cake (though not an actual party, as I didn't feel like throwing one. :P)

Berni was very happy for finally finding a girl who was interested in him.

But then he realized that unlike his relatives, Randoms and Rodieks don't like watching weddings that much.

While Naomi did her best impression of a fairytale princess...she does have 10 nice points after all. Aunt Angel would not approve (but then again, I think there are very few relatives of Naomi she would approve of).

Finally, the Rodieks/Randoms realized there was in fact a wedding going on and decided that maybe it would be a good idea to sit down and watch.





Naomi is now officially Mrs. Mobacy, which is good thing, as I need more variation in last names, there are way too many Randoms, Rodieks and Bettencourts running around.

Here are the relatives of the bride that did watch the wedding - from left to right, Naomi's father, Matías Random, Naomi's grandmother, Error Rodiek (who tragically lost her hair in a CC accident), Naomi's mother, Francine Rodiek (well, actually her aunt, but to all effects she is her mother), Naomi's grandfather, Amílcar Rodiek, and Naomi's teenage cousin, Niniane "Annie" Rodiek (Annie is Flexo and Marta's daughter).




Aunt Marta and Uncle Flexo were much more interested in pillowfighting than watching their niece get married. For shame. Flexo here is a Family sim, and three of the ones who did watch the wedding are actually Romance sims...he does not win the "Uncle of the Year" award, that's for sure.

Flexo and Marta's son, Nino, tried to just act casual and change into his formal clothes after the ceremony was already over. Classy, guys. Clearly Annie is the only one with common sense out of this branch of the family.


No time to call them on their lack of support, though, because soon it was time for cake.






The newlyweds ended up sitting on a table next to hairless Grandma Error and frozen Grandpa Rodiek. I don't think Berni was very impressed by his new wife's relatives.

And as there was only one other table, Marta and Nino couldn't sit down to eat some cake. Flexo did snatch a seat and a slice, though, despite his previous lack of interest.


Grandma Error seemed to be quite proud of her granddaughter. They are quite similar, after all, both of them are Family sims with 10 nice points...

...who both married men with black hair and distinctive noses. At least Naomi got a good match in aspiration, unlike her grandmother.


I did wonder why did she have the trouble of cleaning all the plates, though. She only has 3 neat points. :/


After all the guests had left, the couple finally had some time of their own.

Which resulted in the conception of a baby. :) So there will be a little Mobacy born during the next rotation.

Berni also got a job in the Criminal career track, because I though that suited him, seeing who his family members are and all. As a townie, he had a job in the Military career track, but that was not a problem, as his LTW isn't career-related anyway. He wants to graduate 3 kids from college, too bad I only planned on them having 2.

I guess they'll have to throw me natural twins the next time if they want that LTW to be fulfilled, because Naomi is only having 1 baby this time around.
And wow - I just realized their child will be the first official member of generation O! Crazy stuff! :O

I was having such a bad morning until I saw this, thank you! I think Berni got very lucky, Naomi is gorgeous.
Poor error without her hair is also still as pretty, but Grandpa Rodiek...err he does look bad lol.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that, Jo. I'm glad that my silly pics managed to cheer you up, though, and I hope tomorrow (today? not sure about time zones :/) is a better day for you. :)
She really turned out to be a very pretty sim, despite my slight worries about her parents' genetics mixing. I don't actually think Rodiek's face template is ugly (and now I'm also quite used to seeing his features pop up, seeing as he did have 15 kids in my game), but the sharp, large features could have produced some wonky results, especially when throwing the "main legacy line nose" into the mix. Guess Naomi got lucky in that department, she got the main line nose, which looks much smaller in girls.
I can't wait to see how will her genetics mix with Berni's. I just know that there is no chance the kid will have a small delicate nose, but then again I have enough of those in the main house now. :P Large noses are okay with me.

Today, it's still Saturday morning in Oz. :)

I know Berni's nose featured quite heavily in the 3 boys he had in another person’s game.... but I don't know how it will look on a girl.

Haha, but when I first replied back it was like 11:30 PM here in Portugal. ;)

I would guess that his nose would look smaller on a girl, that's pretty much always the case with large sim noses. At least in my experience. For example, the large "main line nose" that has been around since...generation H, I think, is the same one Naomi has, and it looks much smaller on her (and, for example, her aunt Muriel and her aunt Marta) than on her uncle Matías, her grandfather Landon, etc.

I think they will have a cute kid, though, big nose or not. Right now I have the name Alfredo planned for a boy and Marisa for a girl. Not so sure about what to name the second child yet. I thought of Giovanna for a girl, because it is the Italian version of both of our names. :D I thought that was cool.
