More on the Darriells

Last time I talked about them, the Darriell household had 7 members: Thyra Darriell (the lone sim in the bunch), Silly Darriell (female cat), Sir Puffy Darriell (male cat), Sissy Darriell (female kitten), Misha Darriell (female kitten), Etty Darriell (female kitten) and Rolly Darriell (male kitten).

I was also unsure of what to do about the 4 kittens - I know I was going to keep at least one of them, but I wondered if I should keep two of them instead of just the one.
I ended up deciding against it, because: a) cats will have at least 2 kittens per litter, so the house would get full very soon and b) I also needed the space for Thyra to have a child. She won't live forever, after all, and someone needs to stick around to care for the cats currently in the house after she's gone.

I ended up deciding to keep Misha shortly after the kittens reach their adult stage. So, everyone said their goodbyes to Sissy...

...and Rolly. I don't know if story progression allows for someone to randomly adopt any of them, because it's a bit sad to think about the poor things wandering around the pet adoption pool for sim eternity.

And here is Misha, the one the Darriell family did keep. She's a cute thing, with her half-white face and her nub of a tail.


Around the same time, Thyra (already well into her adult years) had a baby girl, Felicia Darriell. The father is a premade, Cornell Riffin. He and Thyra aren't in any kind of serious relationship - he was a friend who just served as DNA donor. He hasn't even been around since Felicia was born.


When Felicia was born, an imaginary friend doll was sent to her. I named her Sydney.


After a short (but annoying) babyhood - the toddler stage is infinitely preferable to the infant one, I'll say - Felicia had a birthday. She doesn't look much like her mother. The eyes are similar in colour, but the features and the darker skin tone must come from her dad's side of the family. Also, her hair is just weird - Thyra's is dark red, Cornell's is black (or maybe dark brown) and she got this weird orange neon hair colour.


Her features looked a little wonky at this life stage, but I think she'll grow into them very soon.


She spent pretty much her entire toddlerhood playing with Sydney. No wonder they became best friends forever like 2 seconds after Felicia became a child.


Felicia also started to get along with the other members of the household.


Which still spend a lot of time looking adorable - just look at this pic of Misha and Sir Puffy sleeping on the couch. So precious.


A few days later, it was time for Felicia to become a child. Silly had her elder birthday that day, too, and Sir Puffy's was a few days earlier.

She might be an only child and all, but she'll never be alone. Imaginary friends are great.


And Thyra became an elder a day (or was it 2 days) after Felicia's child birthday. So she might not last long enough to see her grandchildren, which kind of sucks. :( At least TS3 ghosts have a much better afterlife than the TS2 ones, with all the interacting with the living sims instead of just scaring them.

It has been pretty cool to explore this EP...though I'm sure there is still a lot more to discover. (Like the unicorn. Haven't seen one yet.)
